What a Team

I have to publicly acknowledge my team of professionals who did a bang up job with the purchase of our first home.

1. Our Banker, Mr Bryan Fick at Scotia Bank in the Comox BC Branch. This man made everything happen for us regarding our mortgage.. he was efficient, timely and patient with all our emails back and forth between Myself in Victoria and Lloyd at sea aboard his ship.

2. Our Realtor, Brenda Russell with Royal LePage Realty. Brenda was completely thorough, an A+ negotiator, and full of answers when ever asked. She was also very patient with us. I am delighted to pass on her link to anyone looking for a realty PROFESSIONAL.

3. Our Lawyer, Kristin Marrs at Herald Street Law. Again, timely closing, very well explained in layman terms, comfortable and confident. She looked after us VERY well.

I want to say all this because these people know their jobs so well.. it took all extra stress off of me. I was buying the home while Lloyd was at Sea, which had it's own stresses, but they made this experience really, really enjoyable and with minimal stress. We are so blessed to know so many people who will take such good care of us. Now all that is left to do is move in, the 1st mortgage payment has already come out (ouch!) but we are so very excited to be 1st time home owners and finally put our money where our mouths are! Thank you, Thank you and Thank you...

sincerely,
Christine and Lloyd

I've been a little busy lately...

Well, we bought our first home. It's been so very busy for me that I
haven't been blogging, however I have had time to spend on Facebook, so I should have no excuse. So here is the house, we're moving sometime this month, not quite sure yet as we have the full month to move.

this is the cake our realtor Brenda Russell gave us.. it was absolutely delicious!

My friend Diana showed up with a celebratory bottle 1999 Dom Perignon AMAZING! Thank you Diana... it was perfect.

7. more to come......

it's a bird thang~

so as you can tell... I've had a bit of a bird connection. woodpeckers in my cherry tree (they're getting pretty load I must say) baby geese on the way to drop Lloyd at work, and a baby robin fell out of a tree on my way home from work not to mention the nest in my apple tree. I stayed and waited for Mama to come and see the baby robin.. and sure enough she did. thank goodness... it broke my heart to see it there alone. so i am having a huge bird connection these last weeks. I wonder if I am having a connection or if I am taking better notes of the nature around me?? hmmm

This is for my Mom

Mom loves birds, so I thought this might be a good post for her. In my backyard I have a cherry tree... I noticed yesterday that I have a little family of woodpeckers. I'm amazed by how perfect the hole is "cut" out for them to get in and out of their home. I can hear the purring chirps of the babies inside. I also found an abandoned robin's nest in my apple tree. No eggs though.
